1st April 2023 - New Requirements come into force meaning ALL properties that are rented/leased require a valid EPC.
What does that mean for owners / landlords?
The current trigger for an EPC is at the point of letting, however the new requirement means that buildings must have a valid EPC at all times.
What is classed as a valid EPC...see below.
2023 - 2027 = Require a minimum of an E Rating
2027 - 2030 = Require a minimum of a C Rating
Should your building not achieve a C prior to 2027 then a plan needs to be in place to attain this....
